In other testsuites that I have seen (for example Eclipse/java) this type of test is associated with a particular error message. In other words, it does not just check that it fails to compile but also checks that it produces the correct error message.
If this was adopted by FriCAS perhaps it could help to improve some of the unhelpful error messages FriCAS gives?
