Kurt, Although this is the FriCAS email list, I have another question: To what extent is this Jupyter kernel independent of FriCAS? For example, how difficult would it be to set it up for OpenAxiom or the original Axiom project?
To some extent (maybe) this would determine how best to package it. Maybe it is possible to create a (mostly) generic package? On SMC the original Axiom is also installed globally since it is easily available as part of the ubuntu/debian distribution. As far as I know, at the moment OpenAxiom is not yet available on SMC but since development of OpenAxiom has recently started up again - thank you Gaby - I am inclined to try to change that.
