Well, it is not my job to tell people which version
of software they should use. There are good reasons
to run 10 years old binaries. And reversing
question: why not? To the moment support for
older sbcl required very little effort. If there
is something which would require substantial work,
then I will drop support for old versions. But
in the last 10 years sbcl folks managed quite
good compatiblity between versions. I see no
reason to insert gratitious incompatibility
into FriCAS code.
