I think that for an unevaluated expression we need a representation with less structure, not more. An unevaluated expression is just a labeled tree structure. This is exactly what InputForm is. InputForm is the intermediate structure produced by parsing a FricCAS expression. It is also the form that is used in the library for turning expressions into functions. What I am trying to do is to delay evaluation of an expression until needed, e.g. to compute equality or some transformation.
