count(zero?, [real acosh((x*0.001)::COMPLEX Float) for x in 0..1000]) returns 314, after sqrt$Float patch, that number becomes 622. After "acosh x == log(x + sqrt(x^2 - 1))" change, that number becomes 761.
I think "acosh x == log(x + sqrt(x^2 - 1))" is better than "acosh x == 2*log(sqrt((x+1)/2::%) + sqrt((x-1)/2::%))", it's more efficient and more accurate. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "FriCAS - computer algebra system" group.
