Second thought:
It's OK to remove the simplifyPower signature but not rootKerSimp,
because:
There is only one local function definition for simplifyPower, but
there are 2 local function definition for rootKerSimp. Currently
local functions don't support this:
if xxx has yyy then
localfun x == ...
else
localfun x == ...
I think this should be fixed in compiler someday?
