Is there a better way to save all my commands and its output to a log file than using spool?
I found that once I use spool on a file, and then turn it off, I can't use spool again on the same file., which is annoying. What if I want to overwrite the spool file? or better yet, append to it? For example ------------------------------- (1) -> )spool /home/me/data/foo.txt (1) -> )version Value = "FriCAS 1.3.2 compiled at Mon Jan 22 22:59:20 CST 2018" (1) -> )spool (1) -> )spool /home/me/data/foo.txt >> System error: file /home/me/data/foo.txt already exists ---------------------------------------- I know the file already exists. I also tried )spool )off instead of just )spool. same error. I'd like to know if one can either overwrite the file, or if there is an option to even append to it after turning spool off then on again. Or is there a better way to save all the commands and output to a file than using spool?
