No problem. (The announce list isn't linked with the other lists yet, so I'll have to remove you from that one manually.) However, I'm not sure, but I think you might be interested in some things we'll be doing shortly; such as creating a mailing list for local organic gardening, and recycling efforts, to re-use unwanted materials. Basically, this is a grass-root environmental project. We're trying to make it more affordable and convenient for more people to eat food that isn't damaging the soil and health of people, etc. (The cost savings goes all the way to near nothing when you grow your own.) So, I'm curious, can you tell me more about why it's not your bag? Are you saying you don't prefer organic food, or that your grocery store is more convenient (at this point)? (Of course, I am assuming you do eat, so food is important to you :-) Convenience is an issue, but that should change as we get organized, and neighborhoods start working together, (instead of everyone driving their own car across town to get groceries three times a week). Anyway, if none of this is interesting, then I should take you off the announce list; but if you would like to hear about any of the progress in these areas, then the announcements should keep you informed, while sending much less email than you were getting from the friends digest earlier... Let me know. Thanks, -jeb PS: I hope you don't mind I'm copying this to the list since it brings up some future goals that might not have been discussed there yet... PPS: My home number is 329-1610 if you want to get together sometime. (I think I've still got your number, and will try to call you soon...) PPPS: To everyone else, Mark was my college roomate freshman year, who really got me started thinking about a lot of environmental issues :-)
