FASS WELCOME PACKAGETO STUDENTS OF NORTHEAST INDIA STUDYING IN THE USA
In line with the FASSWELCOME PACKAGE issued in previous years, FASS has
announced to offer$1000 in 2018 to a selected student from NE studying in the
USA. Thestudent needs to be of North East Indian origin from any of the
eightstates and be a full-time student in any USA Universities in any subject.
The parents of the student should NOT be working outside of India. ThisWELCOME
PACKAGE is to help the deserving student with his/her establishment
andmiscellaneous expenses.
Toapply for the FASS Welcome package please fill in the attached excel
documentas instructed and email as an attachment to the undersigned with copies
to allthe addresses in this mail along with the following:
1) ACover letter explaining why you deserve this Welcome Package most.
2)Your Bio Data with a photo.
3) Asimple write up explaining “How the NE Community can enhance the enrolment
ofstudents from the NE India into universities in the USA”. Highlight some of
theproblems commonly being faced by the students from NE aspiring to pursue
highereducation in the US universities and your suggestions to improve. What do
youthink FASS can do to in the future to improve the situation?
4) Free StudentMembership application to FASS.
FASS is a platform ofglobal network of people, an international think-tank NGO
for the promotion ofNorth East India. If a student is not qualified for the
welcome package thisyear, may again apply next year as along as the student
remains a full timestudent of any university in the USA.
