Salut Damien,

Bonsoir!

Three days ago I got an Orange account, 3G data included, for our new
GSM Android Nexus One, to use during the two months my family is
spending in France.

The 3G doesn't work.

The phone works. Text works. Wi-fi data works. 3G data does not. No
browsing or Google maps on the street of Paris.

Orange stores are no help, so far. Quite the opposite. On the whole
I've been told it's my problem. I have thus far spent three days
dealing with that problem, fruitlessly.

I'm also taking delivery, should it pass the current "clearance
delay" on Fedex (such is my luck these days), of an iPad, tomorrow
afternoon. It's a 3G iPad and I would love to be able to use it here.

Saturday we leave for a trip on a canal boat for a week in Alsace. It
would be nice to have these devices working by then. If anybody is in
a position to help with that, my numbers are below. I'll try to stay
close to email as well.

If not, I'll live. But help would be cool if anybody can offer it.

I think what I need is a contact inside Orange, or a speaker of
French here in Paris who knows their way around Orange's service
opacities.
