Bonsoir, Nous avons en effet eu à déplorer un incident majeur sur notre backbone ce soir.
Les Route-Reflectors du réseau ont cessé de remplir leur rôle pour une raison qui reste encore à déterminer. Cela a laissé l'ensemble des routeurs participant au BGP avec des tables de routage vides, incomplètes voire incohérentes. En première analyse il semble que les processus de routage de ces machines aient coupé l'ensemble de leurs sessions vers leurs clients peut-être suite à un comportement erratique d'un routeur situé à Amsterdam. Le journal de ce dernier montre que son processus de routage a planté -- purement et simplement. Un case a été ouvert chez le fabricant qui dispose des journaux et des accès nécessaires pour tâcher d'identifier la racine du mal. La leçon que nous tirons de cet événement assez incroyable est que la tâche de Route-Reflector, hautement critique, ne doit pas être confiée à des fabricants/architectures/implémentations identiques.
