Oh, sorry for the fast reply, you may probably just ignore my other
mail, this is a nvidia vs nouveau problem, not a plymouth one.

So yes, if you want to use the binary nvidia driver, then you need to
use 'nomodeset' or 'nouveau.modeset=0', that's expected.
