I forgot to mention earlier, but University Conference is coming up February 16th. The Teaching and Learning Technology Roundable (TLTR) sponsors a Tech Fair in the afternoon of the conference.
In usual "fair" tradition, table space is made available for people to present tech things. Many tables will be sponsored by faculty members demoing tech things they have used for teaching. I expect ITS will have a table. Last year, BlackBoard had someone at the fair to talk about their product. This year TLTR is inviting FSCK, as a technology-oriented student group, to sponsor a table. You can give away free software (like the Free CD), copies of Linux, literature, whatever. Except for "tech" there isn't a theme you have to specifically adhere to. Your audience will be almost entirely faculty, though, so that is something to think about.
