I've been hearing way too much about this new Ubuntu Linux stuff. It seems right up my alley (pretty, easy, smart, stable, updated). It's built off debian, but with less red tape. I can, of course, get the ISO myself, but I need a machine with some good hoursepower to see what the install is like. I'm sure someone somewhere has something better than a 300gl that they don't mind getting reformatted. I'd like to see what the desktop linux environment looks like, so I'd need a monitor and a mouse and keyboard to go with it to (no headless installs).

This could be just a weekend thing, if anyone allows.

Thanks,
~Mike
