Open Source Development with the amaroK Project

amaroK is a GPL media player using KDE technologies (
http://amarok.kde.org ). Ian Monroe will be demoing the recently
released amaroK Live bootable CD ( http://www.amaroklive.com/ ) and
explain how to get involved with open source development.

* Basic information about development with the K Desktop Environment

* Class hierarchy of KDE ( http://developer.kde.org/ ) and Qt (
http://doc.trolltech.com ).
Qt is an open source technology for developing GUI applications in
C++. Qt is widely used in many other large-scale projects such as
Adobe Photoshop Album and Skype (a company that was bought for $US 2.6
billion by ebay for their software that was developed using Qt) for
instance.
