amaroK is a GPL media player using KDE technologies ( http://amarok.kde.org ). Ian Monroe will be demoing the recently released amaroK Live bootable CD ( http://www.amaroklive.com/ ) and explain how to get involved with open source development. * Basic information about development with the K Desktop Environment * Class hierarchy of KDE ( http://developer.kde.org/ ) and Qt ( http://doc.trolltech.com ). Qt is an open source technology for developing GUI applications in C++.
