The Math and CS division has a new mirror running as of this week on talc.truman.edu. Currently we have
debian: i386 and amd64 debian-security: i386 and amd64 gentoo: distfiles only ubuntu: dapper, edgy i386 and amd64 and the /pub/linux/kernel/v2.6 tree from kernel.org They update each morning at around 4am. It took some time to get the mirror populated, but it seems to be updating successfully now. If you use these resources from Truman, it makes sense for you use the mirror. You'll experience a vastly faster experience, and will reduce competition for outgoing bandwidth. For those running Debian systems whose /etc/apt/sources.list refers to limestone, I have configured limestone to proxy for talc. But it still makes sense for you to reconfigure for the new server. A simple way to do that should be: perl -i -pe 's/limestone/talc/g' /etc/apt/sources.list Don -- Don Bindner <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> ----------------------------------------------------------------- To get off this list, send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with Subject: unsubscribe -----------------------------------------------------------------
