What ever you decide on, you should really put it on the web site.
It is also a good idea to list the meeting dates for three or so
meetings in advance. If you don't update it right away after a
meeting, it will still look like the group is active. There is
nothing worse than a stale web site, visitors just don't come back.
If you only announce meetings by way of the mailing list you will
fail to attract new folks. Many do not want to join a mailing list
just to find out when the next face-to-face meetings will be.
Maybe add web site URL to signature block (at bottom where it
says how to get off mailing list) to encourage its use.
