I think most people use a dual out video card, like some of the Nvidia cards. I have done that, although currently I am using two Nvidia cards and doing single out on each one. This configuration worked better on my 64bit system when limited to the open source nv driver. The closed source Nvidia driver would not work on my system even if I wanted to use it.
