Marc,

I don't think it's much cheaper, but Mark Twin Rural Telephone does also offer
internet.  For those who don't have a phone through them, I think the option
is a wireless connection that isn't as fast as you could get through cable.
But, it's not supporting the evil large corporations either.  I almost
subscribed, but then they told me they were saturated in my corner of town
until they put up new equipment.  They've since put up new equipment.  Jon
Beck uses them for his connection at home.
