The cleanest (i.e., no advertisements), most comprehensive single source on the web I've found for Linux programming is here: http://www.pegasoft.ca/resources/boblap/book.html
It happens to be about Ada programming, but large amounts of it are language-neutral. It includes everything from extremely simple to incredibly complex, including stuff on GTK. There are even some incomplete sections, so an enterprising student who wants a worthy project can contribute! -- Jon Beck, PhD mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Assoc Professor, Computer Science 2162 Violette Hall Truman State University 660.785.7233 Kirksville, MO 63501 http://quartz.truman.edu/ On sabbatical Jan - June 2008 at: The Bioinformatics Institute School of Biological Sciences University of Auckland Auckland, New Zealand Huan Truong wrote: > Hi all, > > As the summer break is drawing near and I think I will have some > spare > weeks sitting at home so I decided to learn to program in linux... ----------------------------------------------------------------- To get off this list, send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with Subject: unsubscribe -----------------------------------------------------------------
