Dear All,

Here's an interesting problem I just ran into. I recently installed VNC
(server running as a service) on my desktop windows computer. I tested it
from my linux laptop in my office and from a classroom downstairs, and it
worked fine.

However, when I got home, I was unable to access the VNC server over the VPN,
and I couldn't access it from ice either. Since then, I've verified from
on-compus that my desktop VNC server is not accessible from ice.

Obviously, this is a problem, as the purpose of having VNC is to be able to
access my desktop from home.

Has anyone else run into this problem or figured out a way around it? For
those who read this list and are in the know, is this a new network
configuration setting (I hadn't run into it previously) and can it be fixed?
