Switzerland recently (on October 5th) passed a new copyright law
modelled on the DMCA.

Under Swiss direct democracy, a petition of 50,000 voters is needed to
force a referendum on this issue, and therefore prevent this law from being
enforced.

There's a campaign for a petition at <http://no-dmca.ch/index.en.html>

This law has been featured on Boing Boing:
<http://www.boingboing.net/2007/12/02/swiss-dmca-petition.html> and
<http://www.boingboing.net/2007/11/28/swiss-dmca-coming-do.html>

Can everyone tell all their friends and spread this as widely as
possible, so the petition succeeds and this law can be overturned.
