A great example is Lessig's Powerpoint/Flash presentation from 2002 http://randomfoo.net/oscon/2002/lessig/ I sent him a PDF version several times, and Leonard Lyn, and a student Lessig put me in touch with. I also sent RMS a version as I recall when querying why he was on the FSF board and using Proprietary software. Perhaps I should email again and put the list on CC with Lessig. As you can see, the PDF is still missing form the page, and we have to use the Adobe Flash or Microsoft Powerpoint version if we want to read his slides. To give Lessig some credit, after the RMS email he did offer a secondary Ogg version of his QuickTime files on this page back in 2006, better late than never eh? http://www.free-culture.cc/freecontent/ Actually, I might have done the Mix tape one on that free-culture.cc site when I converted the CC ones for them here: http://mirrors.creativecommons.org/ "Get Creative" and "Reticulum Rex" and "Building on the Past". Converting from Adobe Flash was the biggest pain ever, I had to reconstruct the video and time-line the audio again from lots of small files. The don't give the files prominence, they are hidden with the legal text at the bottom of each page. I tried.., Jon _______________________________________________ Fsfe-uk mailing list [email protected] http://lists.gnu.org/mailman/listinfo/fsfe-uk
