Hey Everybody,
Great news!  I did some snooping around just in case Nelson had an email address that he uses at an internet café, (the youth from Carasque who was knifed in the bus when his friend Ismael was killed).  I just got an address for him last week, and hadn’t written to him yet, when look what arrived!  I’ll translate it below – I’m about to respond, but feel free to do so yourselves too if you’d like, I bet he’d love it.  His friend Reyes reports that while he has started his studies again, he is still living with his mom in San Salvador, not able yet to return to school. I also have an email for Lupe, Ismael’s sister, whom I’d also bet would love messages for her family (mom and dad are Josefa and Don Felipe).  Peace, Katherine

Hello Katarina!  Nelson is writing.  I hope you and your family are well.  It makes me happy to know that you all were always waiting for news of our accident and I am grateful for your support.  Now that I have begun my studies again, I feel very content with my new opportunity to live.  See you soon, Katarina!
