About Pitivi
============
Pitivi is a free software non-linear video editor. It is licensed
under the terms of the GNU Lesser General Public License. Pitivi is
designed to be intuitive video editing software that integrates well
in the GNOME desktop environment. It aims to be "a powerful, flexible
video editor that can appeal to prosumers and professionals."
Tarball releases are provided largely for distributions to build
packages. If you are interested in building Pitivi from source, we
would recommend building from version control.

2016 August 8th - Pitivi 0.97
Fifth beta and 7th release of the new version of Pitivi based on GES.
All the improvements from 0.91, 0.92, 0.93 and 0.94, 0.95, 0.96 plus:
* The rendering dialog has been reworked to clearly state what encoders and
muxer are
officially supported (and the GES integration tests have been added to
check those)
* The build system has been ported to Meson and gst-transcoder is now a
subproject
* Usual bug fixes
