I don't thing that you would need to change your design too much
Take a look at the examples (http://mina.apache.org/documentation.html)
to learn you to do thinks. The rest of the documentation is still
playing catch up.
If you post your question on mina's mailing list you will probably get
an better answer than what I can give you.
