The dev build is, as you say, very outdated and should not be used
(maybe we should remove the link). 1.0-M1 will hopefully be released
which would give you a fixed point to work against. On the other hand,
there has been several bug fixes and improvements since M1 was cut that

I would really recommend using head if you can stand that changes, or
choose a revision at the current head that you build at.
