I have a situation where I bring up an FTP server to accept a one time put and mput. After complete the FTP server will stop and the overall application will continue forward.

You would likely wait for something to happen (someone pressing Ctrl+C, something calling a destoy/close/dispose method). The answer to your question is probably dependent on this :-) /niklas
