mina on embedded 16mb ram

hi, i want to start mina with embedded device(non x86) & small dedicated vps server 
(x86), both run linux as os.
Really big problem that i can use only 16mb as max ram for ftp-server instance.
is it possible to run it with 16 mb of ram? how can i do it, and with jvm should i 
choose?
i won`t use vftpd or others, cuz i love mina, its easy to use, and i know some basics of 
java programming.
