Ah! Vocabulary mixup - so you were talking about a "Cable-TV" type of connection instead of 10base-2/5! Well, then indeed it is more complicated than grabbing into the mothball box... ;-) Does "decode all traffic" include the video part or just the IP packets? Best ask the IP access provider as there are a number of different IP access technologies in use, some using encryption (of varying quality).
