You will need ccnp for the foundation stuff, routing etc befor you can touch ccsp. If you go the ccsp route but are weak in IP basics etc.. the ccsp will be very difficult to work through

ok. so i must now concentrate on getting a vedor certificate. here in my place cisco is a very popular one especially in learning centers. they have a ccna and ccnp as the most popular ones. for me.. as a aspiring security profesional will ccnp be a valid choice?.. or should i go in for a ccsp?
