It seems to me that all you need to do is set Automatic Updates to tell you when new patches are ready and then tell it to ignore IE7 if you don't want it.
I'm more puzzled as to why they're doing this "out of cycle" instead of on "Patch Tuesday" (or "Black Tuesday", your choice). -cdh ----- Original Message ----- From: Aaron Gray <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Date: Sunday, October 29, 2006 7:04 am Subject: [Full-disclosure] MS are doing Windows Updates for XP to IE7 To: [email protected] > Hi, > > Just got this news :- > > http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp- > dyn/content/article/2006/10/28/AR2006102800029.html > Is this a bad thing or a bad bad thing ? > > Can it be circumvented ?
