hi f-d. i thought i'd post cuz, well, i think it's necessary. though first off i warn you taht i am heavily sleep deprived and spelling mistakes may ensue... please, forgive me if i dont give a fuck.
many of you would have heard about ABfrag over these past couple of days. rumour has it that some guy (Daniel Roberts) dropped the ABfrag binary into #phrack@efnet yesterday (or the day before... seriously, time... a blur to me right now). and claims were made as to this massive ~450 character password, derived from a ~50 line poem by lewis carol... without whitespace... in leetspeak (everyone said it was the "jabberwocky" but i checked, and that poem has over 700chars... heh, dorks). the ABfrag binary is encoded in burneye, though few ppl have been able to actually do anything with it (presumably because of this large password). some ppl have said that "abfrag" is deutch for "query", wow that is cute, but i think it was supposed to be short for "Ac1db1tch3z frag". y'know, A as in 'acid', B as in 'bitches'. *shrugs* maybe its just my logic. BUT ALL THAT IS LIES sorry. yes i am aligned with #phrack. i am there frequently. but i have to speak out about this before it gets too out of hand and somebody gets hurt. the ABfrag binary was started as a joke by a member of PHC to tease #darknet and a few other lesser channels. why? because #darknet is funny when they panic. the person i talked to didn't give exact details as to who on #darknet was being made fun of, i'm just assuming it was all the little bitches. neither was i told why this hoax was pulled, maybe it was in response to something the ppl from #darknet tried. i am not sure. but, to clarify: ABFRAG WAS DESIGNED PURELY FOR THE PURPOSES OF #DARKNET UPHEVAL. the anonymous #phrack op responsible never had any intention of instilling fear into the wider public. i have a copy of the binary. i have looked at it myself... for two days :D and i can safely say that ABfrag is of no threat to the greater community. it is just a hoax. so hackers, and leeches, and whitehat-scum, rest easy tonight knowing that ABfrag isn't going to compromise your system while you sleep. it just was a personal joke between known enemies that had nothing to do with you and cannot hurt you. i hope this clarifies things. <3 sockz -- __________________________________________________________ Sign-up for your own FREE Personalized E-mail at Mail.com http://www.mail.com/?sr=signup _______________________________________________ Full-Disclosure - We believe in it.
