<SNIP> No that it helps your support situation, but the core zSeries work was a skunkworks project - IBMers in Europe and some SuSE guys. RedHat does a good packaging job - but my impression is that they are patch integrators on 390/z - not patch creators. It's worth investigating SuSE for comparative platform support- that certainly seems to be IBM's preferred route on the VMs: http://www-1.ibm.com/servers/eserver/zseries/os/linux/ - -- Jeremiah Cornelius, CISSP, CCNA, MCSE farm9 Information Security email: [EMAIL PROTECTED] -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.3 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQE/mFFaJi2cv3XsiSARAsXpAJ9GY1CMW7MI8tFBs2KhqWSKyXSIpQCg+aBD AaIm/HACkFTqJSQFtcJKfpQ= =P7fC -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- _______________________________________________ Full-Disclosure - We believe in it.
