Yes, I know all the myriad ways of rebooting various flavors of
Unixoid systems.  Try "kill -9 %1' to kill a background job and miss
the % when you're logged in as the wrong user sometime. :)

The question was why I didn't use -r.  Usually, I tried, got the expected
syntax error, cursed, and used the SysV flavor and gotten the order wrong.
An error that I've never actually made while within 75 feet of the console :)
