I don't agree with the analogy. I believe it isn't a case of the kiddie against the security expert but more along the lines of security expert against security expert.  If you find an exploit and make it public then you should expect that it will be used. The term expert factors in by understanding the exploit and knowing how to deal with it. Therefore, the expert analogy would seem to cancel itself out. I do agree that a lot of the experts seem to be losing against the kiddies, so it seems the amatuers are either tilting the scales in their favor or the "experts" are not as abundant as it would seem.
