Seems like funcd (func-0.24-1.el5) uses a lot of memory for an
application that is currently idle and waiting for connections:

PID USER PR NI VIRT RES SHR S %CPU %MEM TIME+ COMMAND
17870 root 17 0 203m 15m 3920 S 0.0 0.8 0:00.20 funcd
1634 root 12 -3 113m 4636 2212 S 0.0 0.2 0:00.36 python
(interpreter for funcd)

Is the above memory usage normal? It seems like a lot.

x86 or x86_64?

x86_64 RHEL 5.

A fair bit of that is memory use inflation with python on x86_64.
