Standard cell phones from Verizon just sync the time from the
closest CDMA cell base station (which is, in turn, syncing from

Either way, I would just visit your local Verizon Wireless store or
call their tech support line.
There's a download from Microsoft to fix the Windows Mobile side of
things:

Subject: [funsec] Does Verizon Wireless (or Windows Mobile) really
know whattime it is?
Hi,
Verizon Wireless seems to have a problem adjusting to the new
daylight savings time rules. Regardless how many times I try
setting the clock on my Verizon Windows Mobile phone to the correct
time, Verizon Wireless or the phone software is resetting the time
to one hour before the correct time. The resets seem to happen
once a minute.
Is anyone else seeing this same problem?
Also any thoughts how to fix this silly problem?
Richard
