Actually, one line of code *can* explain a complex program (or at least why
said program is a steaming pile of fertilizer).  There's a *lot* of fairly
small code snippets from large projects over here:

and they all have a common theme - any project that includes code of this
caliber is doomed...

And the study's results *would* (as somebody else commented elsewhere) explain
why Bush is so committed to the Iraq war, and why Kerry was perceived as a
flip-flopper.  One was willing to change his mind when new information became
available, the other wasn't.
