In another life, I did threaten to disconnect individuals who forwarded chain mail (though I never actually had to). I even managed to get it semi-officially agreed that sites could be disconnected if they had end-users pushing massive quantities of chainletters (this was actually a huge intermittent problem at the time) but never managed to persuade the Upper Echelons to let me pull the plug. Perhaps I shouldn't have insisted on disembowelling as a secondary countermeasure. -- David Harley AVIEN Interim Administrator: http://www.avien.org http://www.smallblue-greenworld.co.uk _______________________________________________ Fun and Misc security discussion for OT posts. https://linuxbox.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/funsec Note: funsec is a public and open mailing list.
