True story - a few years back, the manager a few levels up had a policy of
having a monthly all-hands meeting.  So at one meeting, a topic came up and
a bit of discussion followed.  Towards the tail end, a co-worker named Kevin
made an obviously dumb suggestion, and I said "Hey Kev, it doesn't take a
rocket scientist to know that won't work..".  And then we move on to the
next bullet item on the agenda:

"Kevin is going half-time for the next 6 months so he can work on his
recent $600K NASA grant on rocket nozzle design".

Unknown to me, Kevin has a PhD in aeronautics engineering, and is, in fact,
a rocket scientist.... ;)
