It would have been easier to do a "top 25" list, for sure..

I see one or two names that don't really qualify as a "continuing presence"
that are actively doing stuff - but they got on because their One Big Thing
was a wakeup call.  For instance, Dino Dai Zovi hasn't been heard much since
he gave the Mac world a smack upside the head - but it was a sorely needed
smack...

In the end, making a "perfect" list of Top 15 anythings, be they security
experts or rock guitarists or cars, is well-nigh impossible, and the attempt
usually resembles making sausage - you *really* don't want to know the details.
