Hi!

In Estonia here, we have had such cases. I unfortunatelly am not sure how
theese have ended up, but a very serious discussion has been taken.

The possible consiquence of this here, may be forbidding online comments as
news portals are not really keen on taking the responsibility. (there is a
point in their arguments actually)
As far as I know a concrete court case is taking place for a year or so.

Subject: [funsec] Israeli judge: "talkbacks are not the news story"

An Israeli lawyer sued the HaAretz newspaper for what he considered libel
in the talkbacks (comments). The judge ruled that they are not a part of
the story and therefore the newspaper isn't liable.

No English URL I could come up with quickly.
