Cumby's is New Englander for Cumberland Farms. http://www.cumberlandfarms.com/ As for Sonic, New Englanders are traditionally skeptical of "chain-stores" Most localities will send a scouting party to the first appearance of a new chain within the "Day-trip" radius. Ikea, Krispie etc. They are expected to report back to the townies so that the an opinion may be formed.
