This could get interesting. The RIR's have never (to my understanding) ever tried to validate the business plans of those who want number resources and insure that they were "legal". If the headlines get any traction and lead to changes in the process/law to require that validation the cost of doing business as an RIR is likely to go up dramatically (along with the liability insurance for the board members.
