Here in Vancouver this has particular resonance. VANOC has purchased *all* the available outdoor ad space in the city, in order to prevent "ambush" ads during the games. (This has included some interesting situations: there are some billboards installed recently much to the consternation of the neighbours, leading to calls to boycott anything advertised on those boards. VANOC has rented them, of course, and is advertising on them, and has had to make statements saying that the policy required that they buy them.)
