"Biography
John Viega is CTO of the Software-as-a-Service Business Unit at McAfee, and was
previously Vice President, Chief Security Architect at McAfee. John started out
writing fiction in high school and college, but Randy Pausch (of Last Lecture
Fame) convinced him to make a career in technology.

John lives in Boston, and has two daughters."

Hardly and unbiased source.

If I wrote a book saying that Sourcefire is the best as security, does that
make me authoritative on the subject?
