Hello, One wonders if someone will develop some low-power/directional 3G transmitters to send SMS messages to travellers' cell phones as they enter airports with messages like "Remember to turn off your cell phone before entering the screening queue." "Please do not joke about bomb, explosive or other security threats." and so forth.
Preferably this would be done in some kind of dog leg in the queue line with materials designed to reflect a blast in case it turns out someone has an device triggered in this fashion in order to minimize casualties. Oh, these SMSes should be free ones, of course.
