Using cftransaction might be what you're looking for. For complex, lengthy
logic and calls, you just might encounter problems.

Subject: Calling Stored Procedures or COM Objects
When calling a stored procedure or COM object from a
CF app, does the http request remain alive until a
response code is received from the stored procedure or
COM object? What I'm wondering is that if you called
a complicated lengthy process from your application,
would you have to wait for that process to end before
using other parts of your application? Any thoughts
are welcome.
