well, looks like I did get booked in... Guess our travel agent got me
squeaked in. Even got a rental car so I guess I'll spy out some of those
cool American Revolution sites. Ya know, there is an odd similarity with the
birth of our nation, and the current software industry; what with the big
purchase buyouts, the mergers, the fights, ect. The Louisiana Purchase
compared to, oh, the AOL/Netscape acquisition. The repressive taxation
without representation of King George (yeah, you UK folks, that's YOUR King
George, heh heh) with the miserable licensing policies of Microsoft. Both
just charged whatever they saw fit. Could we see the rising of Linux as
being spiritually equivalent with the Boston Tea Party? I do believe the
case could be made...
